Church drummers read!!!!!!

There was an email floating around work today and its title stated & I quote "I HATE CHURCH DRUMS"  and it had several replies and the one thing they complained about is how Church Drummers get on the drums and blow of chops on top of chops that make no sense.  I was kind of offended being that I am a church drummer, but at the same time it is somewhat true, you can tell when a church drummer comes in the drum room and plays because they are just going to blow off a bunch of chops or put on a semi shed session.  Just thought I would let you know, I don't really no what stores the people were from but it had atleast 3 to 5 replies.  So the next time you chop monsters go into the Guitar Center just remember everyone is not impressed with chops.  I know this doesn't apply to everyone, but I felt I should share it with my brothering.

True.........very true.  One round me and my little cousin went into the local GC and hit with the guy who works there.  He was so impressed not at our licks, but our pockets

Interesting!, That's not the first time I have heard about that...I look at it like this....There is a time and place for everything, pocket, chops, rolls, fills....A real musician knows when, how, and what to use when necessary...GC is not the place to try to impress people.

haha yeah their is truth in this but on the same token we don't want to hear blast beats everytime i'm working and then on top of that hear a bunch of bangin and rock drummin at which most of them suck at anyway...we can't post the email bcuz its in our GC mailboxes, but don't worry it's been taking care of

You know PRIDE can kill your drumming and your name as a Christian/Church drummer! In worship we are to be led by the spirit not our need to show every body what we can do! If you want to do that go play Progressive Rock!

as a matter of fact NO because our computers are set up and exclusive network all we have is a monitor and a keyboard, no station as a matter of fact its not even a regular computer!!!! mail is sent to GC stores and GC stores only on Green screens
