Bootleg Salvation
« on: May 11, 2004, 04:17:36 PM »
I recently had a buddy come up to me asking me all kinds of Christian based questions…When I inquired where was this all coming from…since this cat never goes to church. He told me he downloaded “The Passion of the Christ” movie. I laughed and I was like… This cat wants to know more about Jesus, satan, and why was he punished so …

isn’t it funny how one can be moved to want to know more in this manner of Hype and a film… Instead of getting in his grill about piracy and supporting Christian based themes… I was excited to spread the Good News about our Savior…

So is it wrong to support piracy if it brings a lost soul back home…?

Oh, no . . . whatever works (as long as it is in holiness, of course). Paul addressed that in Philippians . . . he said that some were preaching out of evil motive, wanting to make his life harder. But Paul said, either way, the Gospel in preached . . . and so he would rejoice.

As long as we are holy, taking every opportunity to preach the Gospel is right. Of course, this doesn't mean that we drink malt liquer with someone in order to establish a friendship and then preach, or go to the club and "shake it" and then try to preach to people . . . and yes, some people are just that silly as to try something like that.   But if we are holy and living right . . . yes, use every opportunity.
