new to the saprano sax need help...

I would suggest getting hold of some basic beginners book....and start slow...take your time..but have a time line

Would it be better to start playing alto or tenor sax first?  The soprano mouthpiece is so small.  One would really have to develop their chops first, wouldn't they?  It was an easier transition for me to learn clarinet, then alto sax, and then soprano.  But don't let that ever stop you from learning the soprano.     What do you guys think?

yes, alto is the foundational sax. if you have to learn on anything, it sould be alto, if not it should atleast be tenor. Tenor requires more air. But soprano requires more everything. Stronger embouchure, aire, tone control, INTONATION (strong embouchure again), dexterity and more accuracy on keys that are like half the size of regular ones.

Im not saying its impossible to learn on soprano, just not reccommended
