how to start?
« on: December 06, 2005, 12:32:27 AM »
I learned classical piano for 8 years. I've been playign with chords for 3 years and have gotten pretty good at it. However, what i play sounds very much like the songbook stuff written for choir. Obviously not that choppy, but basically it is ... well for me it has gotten kinda plain. Aniways but one of the songs i've been playing forever is Great is Thy Faithfulness. And i was pretty satisfied with the way i play from chords. Until i heard a gospel piano version of it that i immediately fell in love with. Aniways so i wanted to learn, but i'm like really lost. I don't know where to start, what to listen to as examples. so could someone please help me? thanks

Hi, I highly recommend that you visit SisterT's site www.earnestandroline.com. There's a midi file of that song and it is awesome. Also download vanBasco's Karaoke Player so you can actually see the songs being played.
