can someone please give me some tips on passing chords in the key of C

Try moving to the chord you're playing in whole steps or fourth.


If you're playing a moving to an F major chord, in C you can try....


A Major
G Major
F Major

or

G Major
C Major
F Major


These are really basic transitions, but knowing these are the basis for a lot of the other advanced stuff. All you have to do is change the type of chords, but the same steps are still used.
