« on: March 01, 2006, 11:48:14 AM »
Could someone help me abolish my ignorance in selecting a mixer for JUST my drumkit.Nothing to big, I justl need something that can handle 8 mics that i'll only be using for my drums and that's pretty cost-effective. Thank you

Hey flam!
I looked at the Behringer, Mackie's,
and Alesis.  They look pretty good
for the money.  Anywhere from $100
to $200 each.  I'm looking at the $150
range myself.  There are alot of options
in that price range.
It all depends on your requirements,
how you will be using it, and your
budget though.
Do you want it with effects?  or do you
just need inputs with some tone adjustments?
Define your needs.
Yell back.

What's up "LD"
I had a drummer at another church give me a set of
Shure PGDMK6-XLR he had laying around.  The church
was broken into and they took the 2 overheads though.
But he did give me an extra tom mike he bought.
I'm looking into using them.  That's why I need a mixer,
to send a mix to the main mixer.
Holla back!!

I've been keeping a close eye on this thread cause you guys have made me realise
how much I could be doing to monitor my sound in church.

I mean I have my own little sound gear which I could use for myself & just plug into the house system.
The only thing I need will be a mic set.
