ear protection
« on: October 17, 2011, 02:19:17 PM »
My son is 10 and currently playing on a regular basis with the P&W team.  What kind of ear protection would be recommended due to the cymbals being pretty loud (he loves the cymbals).  The drums have the glass shield in front which also assist in keeping the sound in that area.

Just my opinion.......You can go to Lowes, Home Depot, walmart, etc and look for hearing protection. I've seen musicians use many different kinds/types.  I personally use regular ear phones. I wear protection while I practice to my MP3 player, but I could unplug them and also use them if I was playing somewhere live. You could also buy a box of those yellow ear inserts, but I prefer the actual ear phones.
