How Do I Make a Makeshift Gig Bag?
« on: August 15, 2010, 04:10:18 PM »
Okay, so I'm having trouble aquiring a gig bag for my 88-key Yamaha DGX-520.  I was just told that for what I need to do I'm going to need a bag by Tuesday.  I might need it some time next week too.  However if I'm really going to need it by Aug 29th.  Right now I'm broke like a joke and I need to borrow one or make one.  The borrowing thing hasn't been working out so I need to make one.  I don't even know where to begin.  I don't even know if I can make it out of stuff I have around thye house.  :-\  I just don't want to end up with missing keys and functions that don't work.  Hopefully I won't have to strap it with seat belts the back of my car with a sheet over it, but if I can't find a way to make this work I'm going to have to.

However, I know LGM has some very creative minds, so maybe you guys can help me.  How do I make a makeshift gig bag?

Get a big card board box and some bubble wrap from a moving store.

Go to guitar center and ask if they have any old keyboard boxes with styrofoam.

Guess you don't sew. :) I have wrapped a keyboard up in a polyester like blanket before.
Vision without action is just day dreaming. I miss practicing.
