Goin up yonder!
« on: February 24, 2009, 11:01:28 AM »
I play this song in the key of Bb. When i first learned this song i use to play just the most basic chords im my progression all in root position Bb/Bbmaj, C/Cminor, F/Fmaj. Then last night I was just going over the song and I realized this song sounds so much more beautiful when i add a MAj7.
So I play it like this....
LH(OCTAVES)/RH
              LYRIC'S MIGHT NOT BE CORRECT!
Bb/D,F,G (IF YOU WANNA KNOW)
C/Eb,G,Bb (WHERE IM GOING)                        2X
C/Eb,G,Bb (WHERE IM GOING)
F/A,C,Eb
Bb/D,F,G (SOON)

G/Bb,D,F(GOIN UP YONDER)(GOIN UP YONDER)
G/Bb,D,F
F/A,C,Eb
Eb/G,Bb,D(GOIN UP YONDER) GOIN UP YONDER)
Eb/G,Bb,D
D/F,A,C
C/Eb,G,Bb (GOIN UP YONDER)
F/A,C,Eb (TO BE WITH MY)
Bb/D,F,A (LORD)
C/Eb,Gb,Bb
Bb/D,F,A
C/Eb,Gb,Bb
Bb/D,F,A

PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF THIS IS GOOD AND HOW CAN I ENHANCE THIS SONG'S CHORDING OR PASSING CHORDS, ESPECIALLY THE LH

I use to play for my unit when I was in the Army. It helps the troops.  May the Lord Bless and keep you.
