YAMAHA'S S70/90XS
« on: December 24, 2009, 01:08:34 AM »
Finally, Yamaha has released a keyboard that gives you all of the MOTIF sounds minus the sampler, sequencer, and STEEP LEARNING curve. Check it out on musiciansfriend.com yamaha.com or even better.... youtube.com for some videos. It's definitely a winner for me. Its hard to find an affordable keyboard now days with A LOT OF GOOD SOUNDS without what i mentioned before!!!
Keys, bass, drums, trombone, I sing a lil bit too lol

yeah you right that price is pretty steep but society/economy changes over time. Remember how gas use to be like $1.99/Gallon and now ten years later $3.99/Gallon. Top notch keyboard ten years ago was $1600 (Roland XP80 for instance) but now a brand new motif/fantom is well over $3000 for only 61 keys! I think its a good buy myself. Its a great live/studio keyboard considering it has no sequencer and sampler and the sounds and access to effects directly on the panel instead of flipping through 10 diff screens to cut the reverb off lol.

I've played the S90XS, and I still like the S90ES better IMO.
