First Synthesizer
« on: December 20, 2004, 04:46:00 PM »
I am 18 and a freshmen in college. I have been playing piano/keyboard for the past 5 years(sometimes that doesn't really show). There could be a situation where at my church were there are 2 keyboards and 3 musician and I might get bumped. This could be circumvented if I got my own synthesizer. Does anybody have any good recommendations? Something under 600$ unless it really a good bargain?

Blessed are they that post, for such is the kingdom of Gospel Music

These are professional keyboards that you will sometimes see on tv. Man just check out the whole website. Aiight Holla!!!

he's right, the Roland Juno-D is a nice board.  It doesn't have a sequencer on it though, which is what I look for in keyboards.  But its up to you.  I'm not sure about the S03.   good luck

I dont think it does. I think your best bet is the casio (man has a drawbar organ that will tear Korg and Roland up but cannot compare with the yamaha motif), the Alesis QS6.2,Roland Juno-D, and the Yamaha S03. I didnt mention the Alesis at first but I really think it has a fender rhodes piano sound it also has sampling and sequencing(which is $599.99) at www.musiciansfriend.com. Aiight Holla!!!
