Confession: I actually paid MONEY for a piece of LINE 6 gear!

Thought I'd tell you guys before you read about it in the tabloids. 

I hit my local pawn shop and bought a LINE 6 POD XT & FBV Shortboard in a nice combination carry case for $140...so I thought it was worth a try at that price. If nothing else, it might make a nice computer recording collection of sounds on the fly for notebooking sonic ideas.

SO...is this thing best tried LIVE through a guitar amp OR a clean full-range speaker like a Mackie SM450? I want to try it at church practice...but don't want to waste TOO much setup & experimentation time.

Any insight or opinions on living with this thing?

It's probably best tried through the PA but you may have to tweak it for a while to get a sound that you like...or maybe not...Line 6 tends to favor high end frequencies so rolling back the treble is a must.

fyi: I just bought a Line 6 Pocket POD. It's pretty darn cool and I can use it at home or at church or wherever. Run on batteries, has a belt clip, sounds really good.

you can get great sounds of Line 6 stuff. great tools to have at your disposal.
