First of all Eric my man, let me drop acoule little diamonds on you fam, although I understand how you feel. But on some real talk for a min. If u r setting the bar high, strong, right, and musically confident (no matter who comes there to play) they will never be able to intimidate you because, you've already set the tone of the enviroment so no other man or woman can change it. And remember this "Everybody will always play different, more exciting, and possibly be more creative than the next guy " BUT! 9 x's out of 10 they're not playing with your people or playing the music you've rehersed with ur choir or praise team, they're probably playing some other music that they're choir or praise team is singing. So remember "Different Players fit Different Enviroments" and again you're probaly the perfect fit for your church and him for his church! And its always good to hear someone elses translation of the music every once in a while. Don't be moved by ur people (fellow band members or other musicians) screaming and yelling over the other drummer, scream and yell right along with them! Appreciate the difference in other people because eventually even they would get tired of hearing that all the time and then they'll be calling you back to come and play because they will miss the consistant sound and vibe you bring to the enviroment! It happens all the time homie trust me!!!! Let the "Show Boats" show! And you continue to show GOD! You want to please him with ur gift and not the crowd!!!!!!
Holla Fam! Stay encouraged!!!!
