The Warrior Psalmist - part 1
« on: April 29, 2007, 11:13:29 PM »
It is written:

Matthew 6:9-13  After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Glory be to God fellow saints, warriors and members of the body of Christ.  This message is about the Warrior Psalmist.  I spend a lot of time reading online articles, praying and staying abreast of what I should speak to the body of Christ.

I am seeing some writings about the Warrior Psalmist emerge.  I am a Warrior Psalmist and there are some sleight of hand things you should know about this.  First, note that any true Psalmist of the Lord Jesus Christ is NOT an entertainer, but a worshiper and praiser

It is written;

Exodus 15:3 The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name.

1 Samuel 16:18  Then answered one of the servants, and said, Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, that is cunning in playing, and a mighty valiant man, and a man of war, and prudent in matters, and a comely person, and the LORD is with him.

Ephesians 6:10-20 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.  Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.  Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

The Lord of Glory, the Lord Jesus Christ has commissioned me to bring clarity and understanding to the body of Christ.  He has me doing this by expounding on the Word of the Lord in song that previous Psalmists, Minstrels, Singers have put out and also on things spoken into the earth by fellow servants.

There is the side to the Warrior Psalmist that is still Holy and has beauty but not as the world seeth it.

It is written;

Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

1 John 2:15  Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

We know from the Word of God that Chenaniah was skillful and made for song;

1 Chronicles 15:22 And Chenaniah, chief of the Levites, was for song: he instructed about the song, because he was skilful.

1 Chronicles 15:27 And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites that bare the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah the master of the song with the singers: David also had upon him an ephod of linen.

Yet the Warrior Psalmist has a different purpose altogether.  Psalmists are CHOSEN OF GOD (and yet not all psalmists are chosen) to minister onto GOD   Understand this   Yes the Psalmist is a Prophet or Prophetess.  There’s a lot of confusion going on in the body of Christ that women are Prophets as well.  This is the spirit of error because a female Prophet is a PROPHETESS.  This is much the same error of women now desiring to be called actors instead of actressess.  This is witchcraft and the spirit of the world and antichrist.

Yet the Warrior Psalmist may not have the most lilting and beautiful voice.  The Warrior Psalmist is for WAR, spiritual warfare (Ephesians 6:10-20) that is.

I will share that when I began walking in this calling of Warrior Psalmist, I sought the Lord why I did not have a lilting voice.  The singing and proclaiming voice the Lord gave me is for not only ministering directly to Him but for;

Jeremiah 1:10 See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.

Furthermore;

1 John 5:9  If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.

So then we see that the Warrior Psalmist’s call is to minister unto God and to do great victorious warfare.  The Word of God NEVER states that King David wooed and wowed people with his voice (entertaining them) but rather;

2 Samuel 23:1-2  Now these be the last words of David. David the son of Jesse said, and the man who was raised up on high, the anointed of the God of Jacob, and the sweet psalmist of Israel, said, The Spirit of the LORD spake by me, and his word was in my tongue.

The Word of the Lord is NOT entertaining but;

Isaiah 28:10
  For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:

Isaiah 28:13  But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.

I have seen people that are oppressed of cussing manifest unclean spirits that speak filthy and vial cuss words when music the Lord gave me and I psalm before the Lord.  Note that the psalming is vertical in that it glorifies God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost.
Not all Warrior Psalmists are the same just as no two people are the same.  Yet we know the Warrior Psalmist has a call to WAR by psalming, praise, worship to dethrone, pull down, root out, throw down, destroy, build and plant (Jeremiah 1:10).  Yes all those things are done by the Warrior Psalmist, but it’s the Spirit of the Lord working inside the Warrior Psalmist doing these things;

Zechariah 4:6  Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.

Acts 17:28  For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
