That's a nice response but it validated my point. The words Jesus spoke came directly from the father.. Ignorance is Bliss simply means that one finds enjoyment in being detached from the truth of a matter. It is written that men enjoy sin for a season. This applies to ignorance. Ignorance means a person isn't aware of something. Ignorance can be corrected. I've said before I believe the bible to be an inspired work. I just don't believe that it is infalliable. Infalliability means that all would understand it at the same level. WE all know that isn't true.
That is an opinion. Theology is all formulated opinions. There are truths that one can get out of theology. Many Many deep things are hidden from our eyes because we can't bear it. Jesus told us so when he taught the disciples about the end times.
A five year old's inability to drive a car down the interstate doesn't take away from the car's essence or effectiveness to be what it was created to be. The problem is in the child's inability NOT the car's. So, you can't win an argument by trying to argue all sides. Either we "can't" understand what you "understand" in the "truth";
OR there's a problem in the Word of God.
So, which argument are you trying to make?
