Hey DD, do you know the song "Miracles" by Donald Lawrence off of his "I speak Life" CD?

Now, there's a song with tons of tri-tones and stuff. I'm really trying to use it as a study tool, but I can't get the chords; especially when the song transitions. anyway, think you can help?

I have the cd but never listen to it...but I chack it out doc and see whats up.

hello guys!
Sorry i may have to ask a question that may sound foolish.

DO ONE USE THE TRITONES AS MAIN PROGRESSION IN A SONG OR JUST FOR TUNE AROUNDS OR BOTH?

CAN ONE USE THE CONCEPT OF TRITONE (TAKING THE 3RD AND 7TH OF THAT CHORD FOR ANY 7TH CHORD ) FOR MAJOR 7th AND MINOR 7TH AND WHAT ABOUT DIM CHORDS?

THANKS IN ADVANCE.

Eb is the dom7th of what key?? F..So you can play Eb A or A Eb / F major chord..ask that question agein...
A is the dom7th of what key?? B..So you can play Eb A or A Eb / B major chord

Forgive me DD, but now I'm confused.
One minute I think I've got it, then the next minute I don't! Isn't C7 the dominant 7th of the key of F (not Eb), and F# the dominant 7th of the key of B (not A)? For a minute I thought you meant leading tone of the key, but isn't the leading tone a half step away? E to F or A# to B? Or do you mean the b7 note of the key? Help!

A C7 is the 5th of the key of F, not the seventh. F# is the 5th of the Key of B, not the seventh. Yes, the leading tone IS a half-step away.

You CAN think of it that way, as long as it works for you. Dominant 7th and flat 7th are, to MY knowledge, the same thing. For example:

Key of F

F G A B C D E F

As you can see E is the 7th note in the Key of F. When you flatten it, it becomes Eb. So, when you play a F Maj 7 chord you play these notes: F A C E, but you get a Dominant 7th chord when you flatten the E:  F A C Eb.

I hope that makes sense.

You right! I was talking in terms of major scale.

I haven't forgot about ya. September isn't a good month for me (revival services) and continuing to the middle of Oct but just bare with me. If it's something you have to learn, let me know I squeeze in some time for ya. Honestly, I haven't practiced this month at all.

I'm cool. It's not something that I need, it's more of an educational thing.

But, thanks for keeping me in mind.  :D

Here are some passing tritone to play around with by just using two chords, B∆7th and F#∆7th

LH                RH

F#-Bb-B-Eb / C#-F#-Bb
Eb-A / D-G-B
D-Ab / C#-F#-Bb
C#-F-F#-Bb / Ab-C#-F
G-C# / F#-B-Eb
F#-Bb-B-Eb / C#-F#-Bb
G-C# / F#-B-Eb
D-Ab / B-E-Ab   here you can just go back and forth
Eb-A / D-G-B
D-Ab / C#-F#-Bb
C#-F-F#-Bb / Ab-C#-F
