Why can't my brain look at sharps the same way I look at flats? ?/?  :D

Thanks, T, for all that you do!

I don't really play too much in B/Cb...unless it's classical and even then, I don't remember playing in B...close to it though

I'm gonna practice this tonight and get at ya later cause I might have a question or two... :D

It's an acquired habit. I used to not like looking at a lot of sharps either, but playing classical music I've come to look at sharps and flats more equally. Heck, a few of the pieces I'm playing have more double sharps in it than I seen in my whole 2 years of college theory, LOL.

I always see double flats...except for this one piece my professor picked out...it was all kinds of crazy (it was something for Franz Liszt- I know that much)...but...

                        ...my professor's just plain weird...
 :D :D :D

He told me to stop by his office one day...I was on time and dude was clippin his toe nails. He didn't see me so I walked out and as I was walking back, I started making all kinds of noises to give him some time to get it together...nope. dude had no shame.

------------------
Back to the original topic...I just need to stop being lazy...I just need to practice (I haven't really been setting aside enough quality practice time. Probably because I'm no longer taking lessons or getting ready for a recital or competition) I'm on it, though! ;D  I need to also work on my dexterity a lil bit. I've been slackin on the keys too much...

I see this key is another one that people wanna avoid like the plague, LOL. Here are some tips for playing in this key:

1.  Watch out for E natural - playing in this key is similar to playing in F#/Gb, which one exception, E natural. I garauntee that most people will want to play F instead of E (I know I did, and still do sometimes, LOL). Break that habit now or u will suffer for it later.

2. Major scale - this is the only major scale that starts off with the 4th finger in the LH. Don't be alarmed by it.

3. Bass runs - bass running in this key can be is a pain, but it is possible to master it, just takes time. Be ready to use some "weird" fingering cuz ur fingers are gonna need to be versatile and flexible
