Is This a Good Amp?? Need suggestions!
« on: March 18, 2013, 05:06:12 PM »
Hi, I am looking to purchase my first amp for my Casio WK-3200.  Is this a good amplifier: http://www.amazon.com/Behringer-KT108-15-Watt-Keyboard-Amplifier/dp/B0010KGD4Q/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1363644205&sr=8-1&keywords=keyboard+amplifier
I would like to be able to play at my small church w/o hooking up to the main speakers.  I am kindof a beginner/intermediate player by the way.  Do you have suggestions on what to look for in an amplifier?

If you're looking to play in church with it I would recommend something with a higher wattage, I wouldn't go below 60 watts.

This is the amp I use http://www.musiciansfriend.com/keyboards-midi/behringer-ultratone-k1800fx-keyboard-amp-pa-system

The most important things in an amp are sound and power. Try out an amp before you buy it. I know most church keyboardists use Roland amps but I liked the sound of the Behringer better. As far as power make sure you have a little more than you'll need, you don't want to have to crank the amp up all the way just to be heard.
