PLEASE EXPLAIN "IT"S MORE THAN THAT"

ok maybe I'm a little slow, but I and many other choir directors like the song, but none of us can really trace or should I say fully understand the song... I get it, but I don't get it...

Well the song is talking about how you may sit back and think about all the things God has done for you.


1.How he purchased your salvation........But he did more than that.............

2.He may give you diamonds and pearls...........But he has done more than that


3. He can or may have given you a house on the hill.........He still has done more than that for you


and so on.....I hope that helps

Also if I may add... He is saying it seems disrespectful to think about why... Or when we start counting the times... or keeping track of how many times he has forgiven us... keeping record of what he's blessed us with....Even when we felt we didn't deserve it...

Sort of like saying Well God if you keep on blessing me Imma keep praising you (Total Disrespect)... When its the other way around...[/size]

Y'all just made up my mind.  That will definitely be one that I just let the musicians play during offering or something.  Love the beat....but I see how easily it confuses people so that is being scratched off the "potential songs for youth day" list!   :roll:

That is very good.  Not many people can catch onto that song.  The groove is hot so the message is overlooked sometimes.

It is like a loved one asking you "why do you love me".  Most times you say it is because of such and such.  But when thinking on the things that God has done and why it is that we love him the way that we do it is absolutley impossible to name it because He has done so much.  For everything that you can name there is something else...and something else...and something else.
