Two handed chords
« on: May 27, 2003, 02:19:20 PM »
Greetings in the name of the Lord,

I have been playing for several years, and until recently, I have been trying to play two handed chords during praise and worship service. Can anyone share any two handed chord progressions, jazz or otherwise, for traditional songs, like Hallejuah, We have come into this House, Be Glorified, Bless The Lord, etc? Any help will be much appreciated.

In Jesus' name,

Peace

The best way to pratice two handed chords, is to do them, you have to train your hands to do it, no easy way out...strt out chromaticly, and build from there.
here's a drill

LH / RH

[BM6] - GbBbBEb / Db___Gb6___Db___Gb6___Db

PLAY THAT, WHEN YOU GET USED TO IT, GO A 1/2 STEP HIGHER.

THE RIGHT HAND IS PLAYING THE 1_m2_1
THE LEFT HAND IS PLAYING THE MAJOR 7th CHORD OF THE DOMINANT 7th
WHICH IS B

Thank you so much! I really appreciate that.

I have used some of your chords before, and they have really enhanced my playing style.

Thanks again for the info, and may the Lord richly bless you, for sharing your gift with others.
