Alright guys, here goes,... Scenario: Let's say I've decided that the following chords are for the song "Thank You Lord"
Thank You Lord
-- Vicki's Version --
LH(Bass)/RH
F / CFA Thank
C# / BbEG You,
D / ADF Lord,
G / DGBb Thank
G / BbDFA You,
C / CEG Lord,
Bb / FBbD Thank
A / GC#E You,
D / ADF Lord,
/ CF#A
G / DGB I
A / CFA Just
Bb / BbDG Want
A / BDF To
C / ACF Thank
C / CFA --> BbEG You
F / BbDF Lord
This is what I pulled from the African American Hymnal. It says, Vicki's version, in case I messed up some notes or chords. I'm not the best sight reader - I'm a true beginner. What should I be thinking about if I want to add an intro, ending, and fillers?
I think this is in the key of F.

An intro is anything you want to make of it. No one can really tell you how to do an intro cuz there is no set formula for doing it. Usually for an intro I just play the ending of the song real slow to get people ready for the song, then I go into it when the people starts singing. So if I was playing, I would do something like this:
Key F LH/RH
Play slowly with feeling
G / D-F-G-Bb
A / C-F-A
Bb / Bb-D-G
* / D-F-G-Bb
G / B-D-F-A
C / Bb-C-F-G
C / Bb-C-E-G *slide F to E, hold other notes
F / A-C-F
* / E-F-C
* / D-F-Bb
* / Db-F-G-Bb
F / C-F-A
Gb / C-Eb-Gb-A
G / Bb-C-F-G
C / Bb-C-E-G *slide F to E, hold other notes
Then go into the song. But like I said, an intro can be anything. You can play "Mary Had A Little Lamb" then go into a song if you want.
