i usually end choir rehearsal with one of dem hilarious videos, like th one with the projectile bible, or dude shouting like a rag doll.
i'd be nifty to put em all in one place when we come across them

It took me half the video to understand him, lol. I don't know if this video was actually used for church announcements, but it cracks me up how the pastor's kid gets to do stuff just by virtue of being the pastor's kid... I won't go any further with that one, lol. He was cute, though.

The reaction was HILARIOUS! It was made even worse by the fact that my computer froze the vid right at the start of the fall, so I had to wait for the ensuing climax. It froze right as it slipped from dude's hand and he was trying to catch it, lol.
Those people were seriously hurt, like that statue was really Jesus (or whoever it was supposed to be). The dude responsible for the drop might as well change religions, because they'll be lookin' at him like Judas for the rest of his life, lol. Another oldie but goodie:

That's the main thing I can't understand. It seems to be a fairly good sized church, unless the camera is tricking us, lol. Maybe they know she's slow, and they just indulge her. Like we used to do in high school when they would let our mentally disabled janitor guy lead a cheer at every game. We got into it because we knew his capacity... yeah, maybe that's it. An oldhead LGMer does graphic design and did a flyer that had 3 or 4 words with an illegal apostrophe (Sunday's at 11, for example). I commented that the flyer was nice and that s/he should take out all the apostrophes. The reply was that the client wanted them there. :D :D :D

I have two "colleagues" in my area who do publications and put them out with errors. That, to me, is not unforgiveable because you may not know any better. BUT THEN, when someone tries to help them out and get them to correct errors, they get all offended. That, I can't stand.

I would post the pic as evidence, but it has the designer's name on it and I don't want to offend or hurt feelings.
But for the record, I don't mind that people struggle with certain grammatical rules and spelling and things. It really doesn't bother me that much. What gets me is when you tell them the correct way and they reject it with a "thanks, but no thanks." It's like.... ?/? Huh??? So you don't wanna be right? You know the right way and want to stay wrong?? Okey dokey smokey.... ?/?

I have actually witnessed a wig coming off a shouting person in church. The woman had teeny plaits sticking up all over her head. That was 35 years ago. I thought they were more integrated into the real hair now to the extent that they wouldn't easily come off. Can they not be secured? Just curious.

Sketch, are you familiar with the original song? I think that's the part that made it so very funny. And the accents. And the very lame lyrics. And the choreo*cough*graphy.
And I didn't laugh at the wig lady video either. The only part I chuckled at was when the camera lady said "she don't worry about that." That was funny to me. But yeah, a wig falling off in that manner wouldn't make me laugh. Now if it was a young person cutting up and their wig fell off, I'd probably laugh.

You know...I never thought that the dancing was genuine in the sense that people were overtaken by the spirit until I saw a classmate of mine break into a dance when our college choir was singing at a small church. This guy went to high school with me also and we were in the band together and he had little-to-no rhythm. But that night, he broke out into a dance and I was speechless. I mean, I saw this dude break into tears because he could barely rock side-to-side and here he was tearing the floor up. The spirit had to have helped him.

LOL!!! I just saw a video last night of a kid from my church going for broke! He was all over the place, there were stairs and quite a few objects that posed a danger around him, yet he never even stumbled. It was a sight to behold, his eyes were closed, he was just all in!

I tried to remind myself not to judge people who have different experiences with God just because it's unfamiliar and weird to me. I know if a Lutheran or Episcopal or SDA - or even certain Baptists - were to come to my church, they'd probably think we are weird, to say the least.
I tried to remind myself of that... but that didn't work. This was just.... crazy.
But at the same time, I've seen people being 'touched' by the Holy Ghost and not really knowing how to react to Him or not being able to really hold it in, and it does look a little wild and nutty. Maybe she just didn't know what to do with what she felt? Idk.... :-\

It's not just that one thing... it's just everything combined just doesn't sit well with me. That head-shaking thing reminded me of some questionable music videos I've seen...
Oh I definitely agree. The whole thing as a package was quite disturbing... indeed. Channeling Willow Smith was just unnerving, though.

Wow! Where to start......the seriously off-key backup singers?.......the "who me? I'm not crazy" eyes?......the Kristen Wiig type hand gestures that apparently nobody understood? (didn't notice the backup singers changing ANYTHING due to the hand signals).....the "Lawd, when is this gonna be over?" look on the drummer's face?......the random screeches?
