Over the course of the last few years, I've been growing closer and closer to my inner gear-junkie. I used to be the type that felt you could give me a tea pot and some spoons, and I'd make that baby sing...
...but, how can you behold the beauty of these Star-Classic Bubinga's and not want to hug them, and squeeze them, and make them your very own?!?!?!?
Most importantly, I would like to know have any of you played one - and if you have, what are your thoughts?

LOL!!! I know what you mean bro. I went and played one at Dale's Drum Shop in Harrisburg,PA while I was visiting Hershey's Amusement Park and I absolutely fell in love with them. The sound that came out of that kit was incredible and of course if they would have let me tune them I probably would have had a heart attack. However, I could not afford them at the time so I purchased the 6pc Superstar Hyper-Drive kit when I got home which is a good kit, but no comparison.
The perfect combination of looks and sound in my opinion. I am saving up and do plan to get one of those kits in the near future. I also want a Starclassic Exotic Bubinga 13X7 Snare.

I think the one I played was like $2400-$2600 I believe and I don't remember if the snare came with it though. They had some nice 4pc Starclassic Maple kits from $1299(used)-$1799. I thought I was in heaven on the first floor of the shop and then I went upstairs and saw like 10 Starclassic kits beautifully set up and waiting to be played, packed up and taken home. That was almost the first day I ever walked in a music store and wept openly.

I don't think that they make it in the Exotic line, but Dale's is selling the Bubinga 7"x13", which is a limited edition.

Yep...That is the exact one I've been keeping my eyes on for the last 5 months. Hopefully, I can get it soon. It's a beauty!

What's the price range?
Yes I have played one a couple times.
The sound is amazing. Great attack. Deep fundamental tone with punchy lows.
4-piece shell pack (22" kick, 10", 12" 16") $2,500.
