Title: Lookin' for Advice on "Finger Speed"...

Well, here's the thing: I'm pretty much "fluent" in everything else on the keys, BUT when it comes to havin' "speedy" fingers w/my left hand, I'm "sort of okay," if you feel me. ::) ?/? ::) I don't know many speed drills besides basic scaling, and the VERY FREQUENT praise run workout from worship service, lol... Feel free to "ENLIGHTEN"..

If you havent already, buy a metronome and make it your best friend. Master a particular speed (beat per minute or bpm) on the metronome and then increase the speed.

Post by: Fenix on May 05, 2008, 08:19:21 AM: Ugh!! My left hand sucks for doing runs. I only use it to play chords. I am using the Hanon exercises currently. I can feel a difference but it is still slow going.

that's what im saying....havent done those in awhile...need to get back to that.

I quoted the wrong title, the actual title is "Complete School of Technic for the Piano" by Isidor Phillip. I see some copies are on www.amazon.com, I'm sure there are probably others on www.sheetmusicplus.com.
