Post by: luke cage on March 10, 2008, 07:43:08 PM
Hi guys i have been learning how to read music and every day it gets easier my biggest obstacle now is keeping the proper rhythm when reading sheet music.  Can anyone offer any insight on how to help me develop my rhythm when reading music, any exercises d.v.d's anything.  Thanks in advance.

Just get in the habit of practising with a metronome, or  some kind of drum machine.  Start slow  and try to keep time with the machine.  Don't  stop if you make a mistake.  Get through the song.  Pretty soon, you will start to feel the rhythm like J.B.    Hit me, two times, uh, uh., Good God.   LOL
