This is an EXCELLENT video on not just the pentatonic scale but how to apply it to your playing especially when soloing and improvising.

You'll hear Jeff Lorber doing this stuff all the time now you know how.
Also, to really practice what this guy is showing you in all the keys is to first play with the backing track that he provides in the original key of B then after you get a handle on that transpose your keyboard to Bb (+1) and practice against the track in that key then go again to A (+2) and keep going until you get the feel under your fingers for every key.
I'm telling you your soloing will go to the next level.

D-E-F#-A-B
....is also the Blues scale of it's Relative Minor: B
B-D-E-F#-A
Never thought of it like that.

Yeah you can think of it that way just add that F to the B Blues scale and you'll have the whole B Blues Scale.. B-D-E-F-F#-A
another example of this Eb pentatonic scale
Eb-F-G-Bb-C
is also the Blues Scale of its relative minor C
Start the Eb pentatonic scale on C and add the #4 and you'll have the C Blues Scale
C-Eb-F-F#-G-Bb-C
That way you can remember two scales in one!

A true "Blues Scale" Has the following scale degrees Root, b3, 4, #4, 5, b7. So in the key of "B" the Blues scales is : B D E F F# A B. You left out the tritone and that is the spicy note :)
