aaaah i heard somethin that might make me start crying im hopin yall tell me he didnt know what he was talkin about..... is namm show by invite ONLY or can ANYone go'?? this guy told me today that u have to get invited or u cant get in what the freak is that???? that HAS to be wrong and if anyone can get my information on it god bless...

Not true the general public can be admitted for a hefty price,$15-25 (Daily)possibly.Endorsees and retail merchants generally get in free of charge.If you know someone thats Endorsed they can get you in on one of their two Guest passes,Thats how I get in.

im pretty sure its invite only. i tried gettin tickets for 2005 through a local drum shop and they said u couldn't buy them. once we became better friends, they hooked it up for 2006.

My boy is an endorsee and he told me that it was invite only, cuz I wanted to go.

NAMM is an organization... only NAMM members get into the NAMM show...
You have to apply to be a NAMM member and it costs $195 per year to be a member...People can loose their
membership for letting non-industry individuals sneak in under their company name. However companies are allowed a
certain amount of guest passes. The fee is about $25 per guest pass.

It's a place for people working in the industry....Companies usually pay for their endorsing artists to attend.

$195 isn't bad at all for an Industry Networking Event. It's all abou tthe business not the lookee-lou (Though I have to admit my first time out I may be a straight up tourist/groupie,  :D). 

In all seriousness though folks, If you REALLY want to be a pro it would not hurt you to start investing in Industry affairs. Get you a professional press pack worked up and plenty of copies of it... throw it in a shoulder strap brief case and handle up.

I'M NOT SURE BUT, I DON'T THINK THAT VIDEOS AREN'T ALLOWED. WITH AS MANY VID CLIPS I'VE SEEN OF NAMM I THINK THEY ARE PERMITTED. IF NOT SERCURITY AIN'T ON THEY JOB. lol
