Title: a NEW BAND ON THE RISE...WE'RE IN DESPERATE NEED
Post by: Dansellew on March 27, 2006, 03:57:08 PM
HEY EVERYBODY, OKAY HERE'S THE DEAL. I'M FAIRLY NEW TO THE LEAD GUITAR, AS IS MY LIL CUZ WHO PLAYS THE BASS. BUT WE HAVE BEEN APPOINTED BY OUR C.O.G.I.C. OHIO NORTH FIRST JUSRISDICTION CHAIRLADY, TO START A BAND THAT WILL CONSIST OF SOME OTHER INSTRUMENTS SUCH AS A VIOLIN, A CLARINET, MY GUITAR, A BASS, DRUMS, KEYBOARD, AND SINGERS.

I DONT KNOW ANYTHING, BUT I'M OVER THIS SO IS THERE ANYBODY HERE THAT CAN HELP ME START THIS THING OFF. WITH MAYBE SOME SUGGESTIONS OF SONGS THAT WILL BE EASY TO LEARN FIRST. WE HAVE TO PERFORM THE THIRD WEEK IN JULY SO WE HAVE A FEW MONTHS TO GET READY. IF SO LET ME KNOW THANKS GREATLY APPRECIATE IT!!!

There is one thing you will have to remember and this goes for everyone in the group. you must have patience with one another and yourself and you must know why you are doing this. If you remember those two things. everything will fall in to place. I have my own band and I gotta say it was hard starting off but now we are going very strong. So God bless you and you're group and keep me informed of songs yo uhave accomplished. Also as a first song start off with a slow but repetitive song that way you all can get use to the different notes and melodies.

If you need an easy slow song...try "LORD DO IT!"......If you have strings and woodwinds you can layer it fairly easily and make it sound very full.

good luck

I think Everything is an excellent song to start out with. I am willing to help you arrange it. Again, I will HELP, but I won't do it for you. PM me and we will see what to do. Be Blessed!

Yes, this would make a great slow song to do with a full band. This song is easy to bring together than "everything to me"  Bishop Cole
