What Keyboard has the best Organ Sound

Well C3hamby, see what is coming mid-May 2005 .  It is the sweetest set up I have ever seen for a XK-3.  Seen it in Keyboard Magazine April 2005 issue.

I wasn't aware of that organ, but yeah, that is what Hammond has needed for a long time.  Thanks for passing that along.  I can't imagine why Hammond would think someone would pay 15,000 for a brand new organ, plus up to $2000 for a new Leslie, when a very nice vintage Hammond/Leslie can be purchased for $5000-6000.  Thank God that they are starting to respond more reasonably.

In my opinion, next to the nord electro, it would have to be the VK-8\VK-8M. The problem I have with the nord is you can't edit any parameters whatsoever. So what you hear is what you get basically.

Roland has come a long way.  I didn't like their older organs.  I don't have a lot of time in with their new stuff, but I do know a church in town that compared the new B3 with the comparable Roland unit-it too has the same preset and drawbar set up as the Hammond.  They compared them using one of the new Leslie speakers.

In their opinion, where money was no object, they chose the Roland unit.

I'm buying a Roland VK-8M from a guy I know. I should have it about this time in 2 weeks. I've listened to several demo's and I was quite impressed with the sound. The leslie sim sounds great too. So I know I'll be happy with it. Later I plan to buy an expression pedal and a pedalboard for bass.

yo that portable organ by hammond and suzuki is tight but like my man said NOTHING CAN BEAT THE REAL THING....

I know its an organ, but the Diversi is SUPER CLOSE.  In fact, not too many people can tell the difference if its ran through a Leslie Speaker.  now dont get me wrong, I would always take a nice B3 any day, but the Diversi comes Very Very Very close to the real thing.  But the B3 is a kingdom.  Everyone else is just Dukes

I've been using the KB3 mode on this beast and now I'm not in search a hurry to get a B3 clone.  Its certainly cutting it.

Okay, I've seen the specs on the Roland Organ, and I have to say that it looks and sounds sweet. But between the Roland and Hammond Digital, which one?
