For me it is perserverance. I'm still learning theory and it's hard, since I already play by ear to be patient in learning basic theory. All I can say is hang in there. Everyone I know that started taking lessons and stopped has regretted it; so don't stop. Take advantage of the support offered by the musicians at LGM. Even when your post aren't answered right away, just perservere.
