Hello Everyone:)
Just became a member and have been looking around and I will have to say i am just OVERWHELMED by the info here. Also its nice to know there are some musicians out there who dont mind helping each other out so that we can all better ourselves as musicians.
I am a person who have been playing with VERY little direction in playing gospel music. I can play cello, clarinet, percussion. I can read music. I can play by ear. But i noticed something growing up. I got totally lost when gospel music became more contemporary. I couldnt figure out what in the world they were playing. VERY FRUSTRATING.
I see there is alot of info here that i can use. I do have a couple questions. I am interested in learning the concept of playing contemporary gospel music. I also have a weak left hand. Wanting to definetly improve that and also play in all keys. THERE IS ALOT i need to learn. Not ashamed to admit that.
Any and all suggestions, or resources that u can point me to, books, ANYTHING would be greatly appreciated.
I will be starting to work on my degree in music education but would love to get a jump start on things.
Well i think i have bored u enough. Looking forward to meeting everyone and hopefully making some friends in the process.
