Overnight guests

PARENTS: If/when you have overnight guests, if you have no extra bedrooms, would/do you allow the guest to sleep in your children's room and move your children elsewhere? Or do/would you have the guest to sleep in a common area? Does it depend on how long the guest is staying? Whatever your answer, what are your reasons?

Not a parent, but I think it's only fair if the guest is a grandparent or other elderly relative. Otherwise,  the guest can sleep on the couch, or a blow up bed, or in a motel.

It depends on the guest and the circumstances, but I'd rather have them stay in a common area or a place specifically for guests. Why? A person's bedroom has their own "stuff" in it; clothes, toiletries, etc...you know, stuff that might be personal to the one who regularly sleeps there, so I say keep the short-term guest in a more appropriate short-term area.
Still, it would ultimately depend on the guest and the circumstances.

I always felt like my parents didn't respect me or my stuff when I was displaced.  We have guests stay in the den which has its own bathroom and the door closes for privacy.

depends on the guest but as of right now my son's bed is too smal being a toddler bed and all.

more than likely i would put the guest  in a common area. if they are stay for a while hmm guess i would figure something out

When I visit my sis, my nephew sleeps with her and I sleep in his bed.   But her couch is comfy, too, so I don't mind either.  My nephew, big as he is, loves sleeping in his moms room... occasionally, lol.

My parents always made my sisters and I leave our room and sleep in the living room.
