God does have a tendency of not giving up on us. Probably because He created us and knows that the Spirit we carry on the inside of us is indeed stronger than anything the world can show us.

Good to see you are back on the straight and narrow, and with a passenger to boot.

Seriously though, when Jesus said he would never leave us nor forsake us, did we think he was joking? :)
