Neo Soul Styling

Good Day LGM,

    Wonder if anyone has any good influences or tips on how to capture the Neo Soul style of drumming.  My choir is learning Andrae Crouch "There's Nobody Like Jesus" off of the Journey CD and I want to nail that feel down.  Any suggestions?

I found the video below on YOutube. I think you should look for funk style vids on youtube, otherwise practice the beat the get the "feel".  I just listened to the song online....it sounds like a basic beat..unless you all playing it differently.  Hopefully others will provide input.
