Since this was on the 3 page I know yall forgot LOL. I just want to share about last night because my heart was so full.
So I drop by Wal Mart to see if theres any hope for a doll that my wife wanted for the Toot. As Im getting out, I hear a "Hey Bruh" but dont see anyone. I keep walking, then I hear and see who it was. He was an older gentleman, not the roughest looking but you could kind of tell he's been through. (SN: I dont know what it is about me and Wal Mart parking lots that God likes to use) Anyway, he asked for some change because there was a Sonic across the street and he was hungry. I said, "How about McDonalds?" because there was one in the back of the store. He agreed and we went in. I could tell he was humble and sincere. He said, "I know I look a little ruff. I'll get me a cut sometime". At that moment I looked back and noticed the salon in front hadnt closed, so I said, "lets go". He looked puzzled, partly cause we changed direction. We went into the salon and I said, "Give him the best cut you've done all day". The barber was a nice woman and actually had some insight on some salvation army info (which is where he lived). We then went to McDonalds and laughed a while because the clerk had an attitude.
He lost his wife quite sometime ago, and everything went down hill from there. He has a daughter in NY that he hasnt seen in yrs. He served some time and got sick in prison, and is now trying to get disability. He said hes sincerely trying to get back on his feet though. The whole time he kept looking at me like, "I cant believe this". Well remembering this thread, I jumped out and asked did he know Jesus loved him and died for him. He said yes and hes been saved for a little while. He asked about my church, and maybe he could catch the bus or visit sometime. I gave him my number and told him to call whenever. I hated leaving him, but he was going to catch the bus. He let me pray for him, so we prayed right there in front of Wal Mart. When we were done (had my eyes closed) his eyes were watery and he had the biggest smile. He said, "woo, man I feel so good right now. I feel it in my soul. You for real brotha. You forreal". I just gave God the glory and encouraged him. His name is Phillip.
This was SUCH a blessing for me. Giving has never been a issue. I'll go over the top in a minute. However God revealed that often when you do that and dont try to attach Him, its not a "Seed" but just a "kind gesture" like anyone can do. Ive struggled in that area and want to do better. Man I was so full, I almost forgot about the doll lol.
