As far as I see it, it all goes back to the question of whether it is ok to accept the "Christian version" of anything that started out with pagan, ungodly, or worldly elements. We (BOC and LGM) have discussed this a few times and the outcome is usually that some ppl think its ok and some don't. The way I see it, Christmas - and a whole lot of other church stuff - is rooted in paganism and dressed up to be accepted by the church. We're either fine with it or we're not.
