Can someone give me some good songs to teach a new choir....

Trying to start a new choir and I need some good songs. Would love some praise songs and some good ole' church songs. PLEASE HELP ME!!!! Thanks

Look at some:

Joe Pace: Enter In  or I Will Bless The Lord
Fred Hammond: Blessed (be sure to put a new twist on it so it sounds kinda new)

I would keep it simple.  Find a few hymns and spice them  up a bit. When you figure out voices and what's comfortable for the majority, try for Israel's praise songs (I am a friend of God; He knows my name).  Always a hit!!!
