Oh my bad, I just noticed Nessa said a lot of girls buy men's sneakers.

This is true. In boy sizes (kids), the shoes are much cheaper. :) And no, I've never done this (yet).

While I knew all this stuff was stuff I needed to know, to see it written down is a bit overwhelming.  :-\

On the bright side, half of the stuff that these things prep for I don't plan on doing anyway so...yay me!  ^_^  Lol!

Funny thing about these "things every man/woman should know" threads is it confirms the idea that woman is valued by her beauty and a man by his accomplishments.

Anyway my actual contribution to this thread is from the previous thread.  Every woman should know:

How to negotiate prices and salaries

How to handle finances

How to handle being pulled over by the cops

How to handle a car accident

True.  And you're right, I lot of it is very subjective and depends on what your goals and aspirations are.  A lot of our have to do with pleasing men, but it really depends on the man you wish to please, or if you wish to please a man at all.

I also agree with Koda (to an extent). And honestly, I think it's ALL subjective. But yeah, you hit it on the head Nessa. Koda, while I do agree that American society tends to value women for their beauty and men for their achievements, I don't think these two threads really reflect that overwhelmingly. I just didn't see it.

okay,

the list was too long to post what I considered for each group


But basically I counted
9 things women should know that are beauty items (meaning things I see with my carnal minded self)

Look good without wearing make up and fake body parts.
Style her own hair - at least in a basic style
Dress appropriately for occasions, including seasons and formal settings
Eat in public
Apply makeup without looking like a....
Dress like a lady. No tennis shoes.
Flirt
look good regularly without crossing the "high maintenance" threshold
dress for every occasion without letting it all hang out there


5 of these items were proposed by males, and the other 4 by layla.

And then there were 62 other items that dealt with abilities, with only 8 coming from males and the other 54 coming from females.

Very true. Thats one of the reasons why the amount a woman is desired goes down as she gets older and starts to look worse, while a man's value goes up as he gets more knowledge and is more established.
