LGM Shark Tank Submission #4

I think we're on #4 but I can't really remember okay.

This idea more than likely won't make any money.

Short Narrative: The idea is to establish a location or center where a number of different small churches regardless of denomination can gather and have separate worships. So imagine like a hotel convention center. Where each large room would house a different church.





The whole point of this idea is to allow churches who are trying to get started or maybe they can no longer afford to maintain their own location. A place where they can gather at a low cost so that they can save up to move to a different location.

This will also allow small churches access to amenities that were previously out of reach. Such as daycare, gymnasiums, libraries, computer centers, access to job postings that are featured at Mega churches.

Cost would be prohibitive, To start off I think it may be best to purchase a small strip mall to work out any potential kinks.



So do you think a small church would be interested in such a location?

We have a few of those in the Atlanta metro area. One that I can think of is called the Lion of Judah.

OAN, can you work on inventing something that will help apply lotion, or ointment or sunblock to your back? ;D

I'd be concerned about sound.  Various music and preaching overlapping could be a nuisance.

I think they soundproof the walls pretty well.

I know at the one my former church started out in, the only time we had a problem was with the African church next door. They used some sort of drum that busted right through the sound proofing. Other than that, we never really heard anything from anyone else.

Then again, we're Apostolic, so maybe everyone else was quiet and we were the loud ones. :D

Yeah, the sound shouldn't be a problem if they build it right. Most banquet halls have multiple parties at once without a problem.

You could also rent rooms by the hour/day to people who want to hold meetings, but dont have their own office. That's a popular thing now.

You could also look at old movie theaters for your building location

Our pastor does a smaller version of this.  He has a few leased buildings that he offers to smaller churches to use. 

The plan looks great. However, based on personal experience, it is very difficult to collect from small churches.  Therefore as long as you have some good financial foundation and are not expecting this to pay the mortgage then it could be a good way to help struggling churches. 

I've heard of stories from stealing time to bounced checks that are unbelievable for folks that profess Christ.  Some people even wait to collect an offering in order to pay for the space.

Very true. I used to rent spaces like that all the time when I did more consulting. The whole virtual office thing is huge.

This is definitely a possiblity because we've rented banquet halls and had difficulties because of the noise in another lroom.

blah thought I finally came up with something new :( I still might do it one day ... but we will see
