OK GOT IT!  :D

I'm going to sell my MO-8, and buy a used Yamaha Motif XS_ . Then I'm getting a Roland MKS-20 sound module or plugin for the board. The sounds are amazing, and the keys on the Motif are better than the MO8 imho.

the MO X still feels like a MO, with tons of reduced features. The touch cannot be compared to the feel of the flagship XS model

No such thing... Spending the kinda money we spend to get quality gear ... You should be picky.  Thing is the job can get done with multiple tools...it boils down to preference and some specific needs.  Do your research now and not later....the second hand market can be very mean to people with new gear... If you buy used, it's not so bad, but if you buy new and later learn that you should have gone a different direction, you lose a nice chunk of money.  So be safe ask questions now.  I'll help however I can.  I have a lot of gear and I've tried a lot of gear.  I also ask a lot of questions.... Lol,  so whatever I can do to help, just let me know!!!!

Casio WK-1630

This board is my baby and I ain't never getting rid of it. I don't care what nobody says, I love this board. :D

My first keyboard was a Casio and I still will play them today.  I have a Yamaha P-100, which is more just a basic piano with a few bells and whistles.  My Roland X7 died on me a couple of years ago, so oh well.  The keyboard doesn't make the musician, the musician makes the keyboard!  For the most part Motif's and Roland keyboards are more studio based than for the purpose of teaching a true pianist or organist.  Although I would love to have the Hammond XK2.

Right now, I'm running a two tier keyboard set up with a rack case on the side.

My keyboards are:
Triton Extreme -88 key (on bottom)
Roland Fantom G7 (on top)

my rack modules are:

Motif Rack XS
Roland XV -5080
Roland Fantom XR
Korg m3m

Wow my rig has changed DRASTICALLY since this post in August of last year...

Now my complete rig is:

Keyboards:

Korg Kronos 88
Yamaha Motif XF7 w/ Firewire
Roland JW-50 (just used a quick controller, I can throw in the car with no case and get to in and out of rehearsals quickly)

Sound Modules:

Korg m3m
Roland XV 5080
Roland JD 990

I've gotten rid of the:

Roland Fantom G7
Yamaha Motif Rack XS
Triton Extreme 88
Roland Fantom XR

the JW-50 does have a sound set... and it was nice for the time (I still use it from TIME TO TIME... and that's a big TIME TO TIME (rarely)....  It's basically general midi, but it's a spin off. it's ok...

The Hammond Clone is in my Kronos there is a CX-3 model inside of it.  just go to youtube and search korg kronos cx 3.

I don't have to research the CX3 bro-it lives right under my XS 6!!! Awesome organ,I can do just about anything on my CX3 that I can with my B3!!

My 2 nd cx;I had one of the last new OriGinal CX 3 circa 1980.

I was talking to Scott May-Ides of March, now @ Hammond.Apart from the B3 ,SK-one of the best clones out there.

If someone were to pay me obscene money,I might part for an SK 1 or 2.
