DD, I love hymns too, and that was beautiful and Draw me Nearer is one of my favorite.  Did you ever get a chance to do Great is thy Faithfulness?

I love hymns, as well!!! Hey, by "Draw Me Nearer", do you mean "I am Thine Oh Lord" because if you are talking about that one, It's one of my absolute favorites!! :)

I think the song goes by both titles. It may depend on the hymnal you're using.

I like the "Draw Me Nearer" version that T.D. Jakes does. I don't remember which CD it's from but it starts off with the leader singing: The closer I get to you, the more you make me see.....It's off the chain. Oh wait a minute, It's on his Get Ready: The Best of T.D. Jakes CD.

i alos love hymns... there's something about playing them tht makes me wanna cry inside they are so beautiful.. i wish i could play what i hear in my head when tht transition comes i'll be happy.. Hymns are always my challenge because they are composed so well.. nothing being added or taken away they are just beautiful

I'm always looking for new ways to play hymns, expecially now that my Pastor wants to start doing more hymns again during the service.

I love hymms as well (singing them  :oops: ) too bad I'm not good at playing them. :(  If someone sang one, I could play it by ear but not according to the hymnal (the way it should be played).  I read music and can play what I read if it were a sax or clarinet - but not the piano.  I'm workin' on it though - pray my strenth  :)

dd that was just wonderful - I could listen to it all night
