I'm disappointed in that, but at the same time I think it would be good for him to get on a super-bowl contending team.

The Cowboys are fine at QB (as long as the line and backs protect him ::))

Any cracks about the 'Boys not being SB contenders the owners can kick rocks. please and thank you.

The Panthers need to trade down and get more picks!  They need more than a qb or defensive lineman.  It looks as if they will be needing a new deep threat wide receiver.  Steve Smith cleaned his locker out yesterday.
Great idea!

For some reason I think this draft won't be as exciting as times past. Maybe it's because of the labor issues.

Me either.  I may watch the very beginning, just to see if Cam goes #1.  Other than that, meh...

So, it looks like Newton is going to go #1.

Both my teams have picked wisely.  The Bills took Marcell Dareus with the 3rd pick and the Lions took Nick Fairley with the 13th.  So the Lions' front line could be Kyle Vanden Bosch, Ndamukong Suh, and Nick Fairley.  NICE!

Okay, a few observations:

1.  I don't like how they showed the players on the phone smiling, getting the hat and jersey, BEFORE the commissioner called their names!  Personally, I liked the suspense of hearing the name and THEN seeing the player.

2.  Why did they all stay on the phone for 3 minutes before walking out on the stage?  I understand hugging your dad, kissing your mom, high fiving your siblings, but come on!

3.  WHY IS DAQUAN BOWERS STILL ON THE BOARD???  From a potential #1 pick to not even in the first 2 rounds?

4.  How Christian Ponder goes before Ryan Mallet and Andy Dalton perplexes me.

Right out of the pages of 'Invasion of the Body Snatchers', it would appear that the Lions actually want to win some games next season--and not in shootouts, either.

That front line could be a monster. If Stafford and Best can stay healthy for a good deal of the season, the Lions could be a .500 or better team next season.

Makes watching them on Turkey Day a lot more interesting next season.

And while I said the 'Boys are fine at QB, taking Mallet or Dalton wouldn't be bad.  ;D

Last, I believe the Mark Ingram hype is just that.  Name the last Heisman Trophy winner to make a SUSTAINED impact for his team.

That said, the Saints have to trade one of their backs for defensive help, in my opinion.

Charles Woodson - 1997.  The Heisman Trophy is exactly what it is:  the best college player.  It is definitely not the best potential NFL hall of famer.

The Lions had already been on my radar screen.  I'm pulling for them to at least make the playoffs this season.  They've been making great moves the last couple of years.  I'd love to see it all culminate into sustained success.

Did you know that or have to look it up? I would've had to look it up. :-\ :D

Daquan Bowers is a mystery to me too but knee injuries scare people. *kanyeshrug*
As far as Christian Ponder is concerned.....I don't know what to say either. Maybe they saw something in him that we didn't see. I mean as I'm concered, he should have went in the second-round but hey I'm just a fan what do I know....LOL ;D ;D ;D ;D
