Are you talking about the standard hymnal "Were You There?" I imagine there are other versions that I'm not aware of, but I can only think of the standard hymnal one.
I'm sure someone will write out more sophisticated and comprehensive chords for you, but I saw these chords on a website that are in the key of C. The site also has a link to change the key to other keys very quickly. That was a neat feature of the site.
I played through the chords and noticed that a few basic chords are missing that you will likely fill in based on what you hear, but the essential chords are definitely present and give you a start.
