hi lgm thanks for the post.but how can u use dim7 on a 5 chord

I'll demonstrate it using a 2-5-1 progression:

Key Eb

F / Cb-Eb-F-Ab (2)
Bb / Bb-Eb-Gb (5)
Bb / Ab-Cb-D-F (5)  *dim7 chord in the RH, chord is a Bb7 (b9)
Eb / F-G-Bb-Eb (1)

I know yawl told me not to ask, but I am driven to ask.  Where would you use these progressions?  They are good but I can't place them.  I'll ask the Prime Minister or anyone else who might have used them in some material that they may recall.
