I'd pay 1200, and get rid of the organ and use the leslie as a keyboard amp. Thats not a 147 like the ad says, but it does look interesting

yeah the guy says he put allot of work into both....i really need that organ though I heard it and with that leslie it could pass for one of it's cousins' 'B2 or 3 with a touch OF A-100...ALTHOUGH i hate the  DIVINGBOARD type keys...

147. They were made to fit more organs than the 122. I'm sure a tech could make anything work. but ask a tech before you buy anything, he can give you info on if a leslie will need a certain kit or not, and he may know where to get you a good leslie.

I know a tech can make just about anything work, but in other words I was asking what was the best Leslie for the lowest price. I had one model in mind and I talked to a tech and he said that model didn't have any horns just a base rotar. So in trying to figure out the best Leslie to get performance and budget wise.

Sounds like you are talking about the 25/125 orpheus speaker. It sounds alright, but not the same as a 122/47. My friend has one, and it sounds like it spins too fast. Maybe you can adjust the speed idk

But it fills the room very well; For under $400 I'dgo for it. I'd rather spend more and get a 145/142

hey T,see if your teck can run a 1/4 line out  ;on a B3 you can do this .if you can,you might find a pre-amp pedal cheap on e-bay for a 145/147.you can run the out from the E thru the pedal to drive  the leslie-since this is a TEMPORARY deal.when you get a B etc,THEN pay the couple hundred bucks to hook it up,sell the pre-amp to recoup your expenses.

A pre-amp is a way to interface instruments thru the leslie just like a kit does in the organ,Problem with the kits is that they stay in the organ;you may spend 4-500 on a kit and installation for your E;when you sell the organ;it's gone$$$ and you have to start over.Thought in one of your posts you would eventually want to step up to a B3,depending on what leslie you have-you will be making the swap ($4-500 +) again.If you get a 147 today,and 2 years from now find a B set up for a 122 ,you are back to square 1.Sometimes you can find a 145/147 pre-amp on e-bay for $100;if you can use it with your E;if you upgrade to a B you have the option of using the preamp again,or selling it.Unless you have THE rig for the long term,several ways to look @ the $.hope it helps

You are really lucky to get a e100 for free.  I got mine for free. My friend gave it to me. It belonged to his father in-law who passed away. My e100 is all original. It has the original factory tubes and bench.  I let it set in my garage for a couple of years because my studio is not finished. The big mistake my friend made was to throw away the pedals! He said he really did not know how important they were until they were gone. I am restoring another set I had sitting in the garage.
I cleaned, oiled it, and fired it up the other day. The ef86 preamp tubes are dead. I ordered them and when I get them I will see what other problems she has.
I plan to mod this organ with a 122 Leslie and a harmonics mod to make the percussion work like a B3.

Hi people , I 'm new here. Glad I found this site. Here's my situation, due to my various hobbies I am being given Hammonds and on top of that our church is selling 2 Hammonds at our tri-annual church bazaar/auction.

Right now I have an H100 available, as well as an RT3. the H100 has a cypher (middle G#) and comes with standard sound cabinet as well as some sort of Leslie not a 122.

The RT3 has a 122 leslie , I think ,as well as 2 sound cabinets. It needs Some TLC.

The units at the church are an E 110 with a frozen motor, and an H110 in need of some TLC. These may go at auction , but we don't expect much interest.


All are located near Poughkeepsie, NY.

In case you question my authenticity, I 'm a board member with the "New York Theatre Organ Society " www.nytos.org. and a Rhoda Scott fan!

This is all in the interest of finding homes for these orphan organs.

Hey everyone, I too am new and thought I'd share my progress.

I too was recently given an e-100 by a lady who's mother owned it, she inherited it and hauled it around move after move, but really never played it much.  I came to find out in further conversation that it had never seen any oiling......not good since it's a '65 which makes that baby 45 years old! 
However I had it delivered to my basement a few days back and have been working at it the last few evenings and it's really coming alive again! 
the generator had several loud squeals in it from lack of lubrication and the vibrato scanner wasn't turning......i thought I had some expensive problems!

Luckily i got the scanner freed up with my finger and it's not turning no problem and the hammond vibrato sounds great!  the oil has been seeping it's way into those dry old bearings and two of the original three loud squeals have now subsided and that last one is becoming more intermittent.
I even had a problem with my lower C's playing what sounded like two notes distoned at the same time......pulled out the preamp and round three filing cabinet or padlock keys and a dental teeth scraping too all magnetically stuck inside this thing.....upon removal and reassembly.....the C's are back to normal......now just waiting on that oil to keep working and I'd say I have a great organ!  All it cost me was the guys i hired to move it for me.....like 100 bucks so that's not bad at all.

Now......to get a Leslie.........
