Snails. And they are delicious. I had them on a cruise. In pesto sauce. They looked like mushrooms.

So will you catch your own snails? LOL

One of my cousins, while in the Air Force stationed in Texas, inadvertently at some rattle snake.  He said it was quite tasty before he found out what exactly it was that he was eating  :D.

1. I think just about anything can be tasty if prepared properly. I mean you can put crushed bumblebees in a bar of chocolate and say you ate bees and it was good. Cut up some elephant or snake or armadillo or whatever, curry it, add potato, onions and throw it over some rice and you probably won't even know what it is.

2. I admit I'm close-minded and finicky when it comes to food. But I just think we have enough animal meat in our culture (American) to satisfy all our cultural tastes and desires. With chicken, lamb, turkey, a zillion kinds of fish, beef, pork... why the need for other things? Seriously? Just to say you ate it?

I wanted to try kaegogi, while I was in Korea; but I never got around to it. I'll try it one day.

Bruh you missing out.  Its the BOMB!

And umm sis, you gotta get out your little box lol.  American isnt the only way of life.  Also remember American is actually a mixture of most of the other countries cultures put together  :P.  Also, theyve been doing it longer lol.

As for me, I'll try anything, but as far as bizarre, Ive had octopus and Ive had a Kangaroo steak (I cant describe it, other than....different LOL).

@BX I take it it was the size of a can of veggies. It's illegal to have here in the US he said, but somehow his rich little fingers got a hold of a can lol. He said he tried bear, wild boar, kangaroo and all that other weird stuff...

Now Andy Zimmerman, the Bizarre Food host is very VERY open minded. That dude eats animal eyes, butt, heart, lungs, kidney, feet, toenails, hair...pretty much anything lol...yuck!!

The weirdest food I've probably eaten was oxtails so that goes to show you how "bizarre" I am lol.

I agree, but, over seas, they dont all eat fried chicken and pulled pork and what have you. I ate most of the bizarre foods I have tasted while I was in other countries... Where it is bizarre to us, but it is just good ole eatin' to them. Like the time I drank pigs blood milk.

There is no way that I would pay $1500 round trip to Japan (next month) and not try some of their foods. I am going on the vacation to see their culture. If I want to see the Japanese culture and eat pork chops, I may as well just fly to San Francisco, go to Japantown and go to The House of Prime Rib or sum'n like dat. And yes, in the end, it is also to be able to say, I ate ______ and I have tasted ______...

Gurl, oxtails is where its at! They are soooo expensive though, I dont eat them very often. But you cook them up with some onions, rice, gravy, some greens a a couple of buscuits, red Kool Aid (2 1/4 cups of sugar) and a slice of peach cobblar two scoops of ice cream, a pillow and a fuzzy blanket and my favorite Marvin Sapp CD, and I swear that would be the perfect meal!

LOL. My avatar has to be a reflexion of me... and some of the things that I love the most. You'd think that I was 400 pounds... But what can I say, I loves me some food! :D

I've heard/read that ants are high in protein, even moreso than meat. We have a survival guide that talks about it.

Mmm. Butt juice.

No different than honey though, which is Bee drool.
