Share Mics or Stick With Six?

Quick question for ya LGM fam. For P&W we have 6 microphones, and this week we have all 7 singers here at the same time (which is a rare occasion). So the question on the table is, do I stick with 6 and have someone sit out... OR... have 2 people share a microphone? Your thoughts?

Yea, we tend to have more people than mics so we share.

Nothing wrong with sharing. I've only sang at a church once, that had an abundance of mic's. My male chorus was about 15 deep, and they had about 20 mic's, it was amazing. But that was once, and only once.put all the mic's on mic stands, and buddy up.

I like individual mics. If someone is off, then you can take them out the final mix, without losing a whole section. Plus, as sketchman said, you could balance the live sound better.

yea, i don't know why, but there was about 20 mic's, yea i say overkill too, but we where tha largest Male Chorus there, and it worked for us, plus they had a grand finally with all the male chiors, so it was just probably set up for that ocassion.
