Ms. Hawkins sang at my church conferences camp meeting recently, and I must say it is quite amazing to see her in person. It's one thing to listen to the records, but the live presentation is so much more real. It was only the second time I'd seen a professional gospel artist live (sad, I know), and I was pleasantly surprised.
I must say, I was impressed that her voice and singing ability has vastly improved over the years. She sounds better live than she did in the studio recordings.
She was hittin notes that I NEVER heard her hit before. She has so much class too cause when she was signing the CD and DVDs, she just knew how to handle the crowd... She was so amazing!
Yeah her CDs are one thinng, but listening to her live is a whole 'nother.
My heart was pounding the whole time she was on stage!
