Wouldn't Mayweather's energy be drained too?  :-\

No necessarily.  Some people can give blood and be ok, while others give it and it may take a week to get back to normal.

...I was going to state the exact same thing.  Everyone's body is different.  Its obvious that Pac isn't taking any PED's because he's agreeing to everything minus the blood work so close to the fight AND they are taking a second blood sample immediately after the fight.

...Mayweather knows how to protect his legacy very well.  ;)   There really isn't anyone left out there that I know of that can beat Mayweather because all of the really good boxers are all way over there prime or up and coming.

So, they have to give a whole pint of blood to do drug testing?  I thought, at worst, they'd have to fill up a tube.

So if the majority is saying "Floyd is dodging", would it be fair to say that Pacman is scared he'd lose after giving blood?

Exactly.

He's not donating blood.  He's giving enough blood to be tested, which is a vial.

I don't see why Pacquiao gets the benefit of the doubt for his ridiculous stance and Mayweather gets accused of ducking.

...well, if I knew that drawing blood would cause me to be weak and would take about 2-3 days for me to recup' and the fight of my career is within 24hrs...  uh yeah, I'd be smart and not do it so close to the fight.  :-\

People dislike Mayweather so much that they'll say anything to discredit what he has done in the ring.  He beats Mosley(soundly) and everyone says, "Mosley is washed up or over the hill...lol."  It's crazy...Mosley was #3 on the pound for pound list!

If Tiger Woods said "I'm not going to compete until all the Competitors doe this, this and this", or if Federer said "I won't play against Nadal unless this this or this" or the Lakers said, "I won't play the Cavs unless these demands are meet", we'd look at them like they were crazy.

Boxing have rules, regulations, and testing, also the States Athletic Commission does to.  Its not like it's some backyard brawl  Pac is following all those but with Mayweather is imposing his own rules  But since Mayweather IS boxing right now he's basically have the power to do this.

I really don't see what the big deal is.  If I'm clean and have the opportunity to make mega millions for one night's worth of work, I'd take drug tests, paternity tests, math, science and english tests too!

Either way, if the fight happens Mayweather will win; and if not he's still the better fighter.

And I'll agree with that.  Drugs or no drugs for Pac, I think "Money" would win.  He's that much better than everyone out there.

Boxing is not the same, it is a true contact sport... Getting in there with someone who is "juiced" may cost you your life.

People on top make there own rules in almost all sports:

You can't tell me that Jamario Moon or Sebastian Telfair get the same foul calls that LeBron James does.
Tiger Woods can decide right before a tourney that he wants to enter the event and I bet because of TV revenue amongst other things they let him in.
I bet Brett Favre doesn't show up until after training camp again.

Like I said, It is still governed by Boxing (WBC, IBO, ect) AND state Athletic commissions, the same was another contact sport, like football (NFL) is.  Its just not some free for all show up as you are.

I understand where you're coming from, but I also see where he's coming from based on the 2nd half of his sentence.  To me, his statement was less about wanting to dictate everything and more about wanting to make sure the playing field was level.  I equate this to Derek Jeter coming out in the 90's and saying, "We need to start testing more aggressively for performance enhancing drugs in our sport.  If every athelete in the sport would do that, we know we would have a clean sport."

Just think of how many scandals would have averted if someone had taken this stance back then.
