Today I was informed that the business office is looking into the option of replacing/repairing our old Roland JV-90. The Minister of Music would like to get a Roland Fantom as it's replacement for synthing and it's other modules. We currently also have a Motif 6 which is the main board.
It seems that there would be less value in trying to repair the JV-90 compared to purchasing a new board but on the other note I'm also concerned the +$2K bill for the Fantom may be a bit over budget and that we may get some push back from the business office. I would assume a replacement between $500 - $1K would be more reasonable. Is there anything is this price range worth while?
Just doing my research just in case we get some push back.
